Come see The Syrian Bride as part of La Cinémathèque’s largest series ever!
Mona's father, political leader Hammed, wants her to marry a Syrian comedian, but her move to Syria would likely be a permanent one, considering the political unrest between the two countries. The wedding planning is a nightmare, and tensions are high -- especially when Mona's siblings, who have moved on to new countries and complicated relationships, come home before the big day.
Film Introductions and post-screening discussion will be led by educator, artist, and filmmaker Gerard Amsellem. This is part of a dual-series on Israeli cinema, with five films at the JCC and five at SOPAC. Click here for more information. Tickets are available from the JCC MetroWest box office.
Please note: Attendance to JCC Israeli Series screenings does not guarantee SOPAC screening membership.
